About this work

Cabinet, veneered with walnut, ebony, satinwood, acacia, rosewood, and other wood species and bone on an oak core. Both doors display a symmetrical decoration of oval fields and geometric figures on a ground of acacia "oyster pieces". The frieze and the base are also veneered with these "oyster pieces". The side walls carry a geometric pattern on a walnut ground. The cross-foot with scrolled legs was added in 1958.
