About this work
Cap, midwife's cap or bridegroom's cap, of striped pink silk brocaded with green roses. Model: four pattes each with an attached edge that is turned back. In the middle of the crown a button covered with fabric. The edge is lined with bottle-green silk. On the transition from the lining to the edge a 1.5 cm wide tunnel through which a purple ribbon is drawn. In the middle back two festooned holes through which the ribbon can be tied on the outside. The tunnel and the upper part of the edge are reinforced.
