About this work

Stoneware jug (fopkan) on a fluted foot with an egg-shaped body and an openwork neck with a short spout on the rim. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. At the bottom of the jug there is a hole on the inside, through which the liquid can flow via a tube in the wall, handle and rim out through the spout. Covered with a brown engobe. On the body, in relief, four times a medallion with Mary and Child. Siegburg.
