About this work

Shofar, used in Jewish religious services, also known as a ram's horn. Decorated with engraved floral and foliate motifs and openwork on the outer curve. A geometric motif along the cup opening. Inscription in Hebrew letters: "HEIL DEN VOLKE, DAT HET THERNABLAZEN VERSTAAT. EEUWIGE, LAAT HEN IN DEN GLANS VAN HET AANGEZICHTS WANDELEN (from Psalm 89)."
