About this work

Back of a chasuble, with embroidery and stitching in gold thread. In a hilly landscape with castles, the Sermon on the Mount and the distribution of loaves are depicted. Christ is surrounded by his disciples and the people. Above the image is an ornamental border embroidered with the names MAR VI, JOH VI, and MAT XIII in three arches.
