About this work

A tower cross from the NH church in Gorssel, initially square and then octagonal, the shaft transitions into an octagon with inwardly curved sides from which the side and upper arms emerge. The latter is decorated with four downward-curving points and ends in a round spindle for a weather vane. The side arms, as well as the other corners of the octagon, terminate in lilies. A renewed calyx leaf is attached to three lilies.
