About this work
The body is turned three-quarters to the right, the head slightly to the left. The man wears a long periwig, part of which hangs down over the right shoulder where the cloak meets. It is draped over pseudo-Roman armor, which at the neck shows a pleated shirt and a mask, as well as strips of leather hanging from the shoulder.
