View of the Third Regulierspoort, built in 1654-1655, and its associated bridge in Amsterdam, seen from outside the city. Various figures on the bridge and in the boats. This stone city gate replaced the earlier wooden Second Regulierspoort. After the Fourth Expansion and the construction of the Utrechtsepoort (1664), this building lost its function as a city gate.
