About this work
Object consists of two sheets bound together, very likely originating from two consecutive publications of the Geïllustreerd Zondagsblad voor Katholieken. On the recto of the second sheet (p. 157), two additional photomechanical prints are pasted. In total, seven photomechanical prints depict the Vondelkerk in its state before, during, and after the fire of November 8, 1904. A portrait of Jan Eduard van Someren Brand on p. 162 is unrelated to the rest. Subject category within the Atlas Amsterdam: Church Affairs: Roman Catholic Parishes: Begijnhof to Petrus en Paulus.
