Two allegorical figures at a monument. Piety is personified by an angel with a flame on his head, pointing to a beam of light. Friendship is depicted by a weeping woman with a skull under her foot, and a laurel wreath and several books on the ground beside her. She shows the silhouette portrait of J.D. Deiman.
