About this work

Object consists of two sheets pasted together. The text is presumably copied from the marriage banns register of the Oude Kerk in Amsterdam and contains data on the marriage banns of Joost van den Vondel jr. and his first wife Aaltje van Bancken on August 7, 1643. The pasted sheet is presumably a handwritten reproduction of the signatures of both spouses. Subject category within the Atlas Amsterdam: Literary Figures M-Z.
