The Amsterdam mayor Hendrik Hooft Danielsz. negotiates with the citizens about the dismissal of the Rhinegrave of Salm, 26 February 1787. Hooft addresses the assembled citizens standing before the entrance to the mayor's chamber in the Town Hall.
