About this work
Silver square coin. Obverse: within a raised square, in Arabic characters, an inscription in three lines: first part of the Kalima [=profession of faith]. In the corners outside the square, inscriptions: names of the four successors of Mohammed. Reverse: in Arabic characters, an inscription in four lines, including place indication: Lahore. Between first and second line, year: 988. This specimen could also be a copy of the mentioned coin, used as a temple token.
