Silver coin. Obverse: within circle, formed by belt with buckle, value indication in English: five fanams, on a line value indication in Arabic letters. Reverse: within circle, formed by ribbon, on which value indication in Tamil, in two lines value indication in Telugu. At top, between ends of the ribbon, a star. Rope edge.
