Copper coin. Obverse: on wrapped globe crowned coat of arms of Portugal. Reverse: within pearl circle in three lines value indication: macutas 2. Legend: Africa Portugueza with date at top. Smooth edge. Coin struck on a 2 macutas coin struck in 1785 in the name of Maria I, of which remains are still visible.
