About this work

Silver officer's medal of the civic guard Hoorn, 1st size. Obverse: Standing shooter with musket on a fork, 'ready to load', to the right. Legend: PRO ARIS AC FOCIS (for altars and hearths). Reverse: the coat of arms of the city of Hoorn, held by a unicorn, between Saint George and Saint Sebastian, patron saints of the two city shooting guilds.
