Metal wearing medal with knob, ring and ribbon. Obverse: crowned coat of arms of Amsterdam with legend: VOLUNTEER CITIZEN GUARD 1918. Reverse with inscription in the field: In grateful memory presented to A. van der Kar, for strong support and great cooperation granted to the Amsterdam Citizen Guard.
