Medal of the Dutch Association of Volunteer Civic Guards for special dedication

Bronze wearing medal with knob, ring and ribbon. The obverse shows a round shield with thereon a climbing lion with sword and bundle of arrows. Around this shield are placed the coats of arms of the (then eleven) Dutch provinces. The reverse shows a wreath of orange leaves within which, along the inner edge of the wreath, the text "NEDERL:BOND VAN VRIJWILLIGE BURGERWACHTEN" can be read. Horizontally placed in the middle is the text "AAN VOOR BIJZONDERE TOEWIJDING" can be read.
