The west side of the Burgerzaal in the Town Hall on the Dam in Amsterdam. In the background in the center, the entrance to the Schepenzaal. Above it in the center, Justitia (Justice), under her feet King Midas as personification of Greed and Invidia, the personification of Envy and Resentment. To the left of Justitia, Death; to the right, the personification of Punishment. Above it, the statue of Atlas. In the hall, several figures are walking and talking.
