About this work

A group of elegantly dressed citizens, before whom two pilgrims stand. One of them is asking for alms. On the left, a woman with a hood, by a basket of fruit. Next to her, a cart is being unloaded. Third of a frieze consisting of four prints, depicting a market. Seventh print from the total series of markets (market series A + B). Numbered 7 on the right.
