About this work

On the recto, top left: two gentlemen and a lady in a closed carriage, possibly a coupé. Bottom left: two gentlemen and two ladies in an open cart drawn by a horse. Below both scenes, a twelve-line verse in three columns. Top right: a bride and groom in a sleigh drawn by a horse. Bottom right: Jan and Catryntje with a sleigh drawn by a horse carrying bottles of hipocras (a wine-based drink). Below both scenes, an eight-line verse in two columns. On the verso, top left: two children in a goat cart. Bottom left: two children milking a goat. Below both scenes, an eight-line verse in two columns. Top right: a couple in a Berline drawn by two horses. Bottom right: a couple in a calèche. Below both prints, an eight-line verse in two columns.
