In a cartouche, flanked by putti and decorated with printing equipment, stands Mercury holding a book. Above the cartouche the coat of arms of Amsterdam with a scroll above it: Booksellers, Book Printers and Art Dealers Guild. Below the cartouche the text: We the undersigned Magistrates (...) Actum Amsteldam. With a pen the name: Nicolaes Lobedans, book printer, has been filled in. Dated 18 March 1709. Subject categories within the Atlas of Customs and Manners: Trade, Industry and Traffic, Guilds.
