About this work

In the center of the temple, the young Joash kneels before the priest Jehoiada, who pours oil over his head. They are surrounded by men with musical instruments (drum, horns, triangle, lyre, cymbals, and tambourine) and music books. Below the print verses in Latin. Bottom right a reference to 2 Chronicles 23. Bottom left numbered: 12.
