About this work
The paltrokmolen 'Het Luipaard' in Amsterdam in mourning mode; the position of the sails is called 'voor stelling'. The mill stood outside Amsterdam, outside the former Raampoort, at the meeting point of Achterweg and Middenweg. See also the pendant with a mill in bridal attire.
