About this work
In a landscape near a city, a woman with one large step tramples her husband, while another man pulls at her skirt and gets an egg from her basket in his face. At the tree on the right sits a person with folded hands and behind the trampling stands a woman who holds her hands next to her head. In the image a cartouche with a two-line Dutch text.
