Two skaters on the ice. A man is lacing the skates of one of the women. She still has her shoe in her hand. The shoulders of the women are covered with fur. Both wear a cap and cover their faces against the cold with a velvet or satin mask, also known as a loup or cachenez. In the background skaters and a sleigh. Bottom right numbered: 12.
