About this work
A fisherman's wife in the costume of Scheveningen carries a basket of fish on her head and a basket on her arm. Opposite her a woman from The Hague who wants to buy fish from her. Accompanying the print is a sheet with the French title. Part of the reduced copies from 1812 after the plates of Dutch national costumes from the years 1803-1807.
