About this work

The garden theatre of the Westerwijk house between Heemskerk and Velsen, seen through a vegetated proscenium. The stage is formed by clipped hedges arranged in perspective. Against the hedges stand statues representing figures from theatrical literature. Numbered in the lower right: 31.
