About this work
An ornamental teapot with a spigot, donated to the Lutheran preacher Esdras Heinrich Mützenbecher by the Lutheran Church upon his departure from Amsterdam. The teapot features two medallions with portraits of Luther and Melanchthon. On the spigot, the Lamb of God with a Bible. On the base, a Dutch inscription. Subject headings within the Atlas Zeden en Gewoonten: Pleasures; Drinking; Historical cups.
