About this work

Carnival print of the Amsterdam gas lamp lighters for the year 1849. Cartouche with a view in a street in Amsterdam where several men are lighting the street lamps. Another man collects money at a house. Left and right a standing woman with a torch and an oil lamp, at the bottom the Amsterdam gas factory. With a poem in two columns. From the gas lamp lighter: W.
