New Year's greeting on behalf of the newspaper distributors (courier carriers) in Amsterdam, 1855. At the top three medallions with a view of the Royal Palace on the Dam in the center, left a ship on the IJ, right ice entertainment outside the city walls. At the bottom a poem in three columns. From the newspaper distributor: J.J. Smit.
