About this work

Pull-print. Sheet with rolls and verses for the Feast of the Epiphany. Two columns with eight vignettes of professions and verses, starting with the king and ending with the fool. The sixteen rolls were cut out, rolled up and put in a box, after which the participants drew a lot with their role for the festival. Whoever drew the king got the crown on his head and was the king at the festival. Subject categories within the Atlas Manners and Customs: Folk festivals; Epiphany.
