The ruin of the student through card playing

In eight depictions on one sheet the life and downfall of an Amsterdam student is depicted. I: playing children, II: schoolboys playing cards, III: boys playing billiards, IV: the devil holds a money bag before the student, V: serious loss at the gaming table, VI: students rolling dice, VII: desperate student, VIII: student commits suicide with a pistol. In the center below lies a fallen statue of Minerva with the coat of arms of Amsterdam, surrounded by games. Published in the student almanac of the University of Amsterdam for the year 1855.
