Victory in the Battle of Boutersem, August 12, 1831. Standing centrally on the ground, the Prince of Orange exchanges his horse, part of whose leg has been shot off, for another horse offered by Major Hoyel. Behind the Prince are his brother Frederik and his staff on horseback. On the right, a wounded soldier is being supported. In the distance the battlefield.
