About this work

German anti-Jewish satirical print, ca. 1943-1944. A caricatured Jewish soldier in ancient clothing, with a Star of David and a broken sword, is struck by a large 'V' (for Victory, Germany wins on all fronts). Part of a German propaganda counter-offensive on 18 July 1941 in response to the English 'V for Victory' campaign of spring 1941.
