Siege and capture of the fort Mardijk near the town of Mardijk near Dunkirk, 22 June - 9 July 1645, by the French army under Gaston, Duke of Orleans, against the Spaniards. At the top, a profile of the fort Mardijk on the beach with the rampart Het Houten Wambus, below it a plan of the fort and the surrounding land with the encampments of the besiegers.
