About this work

A group of figures, boys and drunk men, walking in a procession through the city. They are dressed strangely and carry a woodcutter's coat of arms. This round, which took place in 1608, recalled the bygone tradition where patients from the so-called Leprosy House went around together during the Fair and collected money. Subject headings within the Atlas of Customs and Manners: Poverty and Charity.
