About this work
A man and a woman sit at a round table with tea service. The man has a long pipe in his mouth resting on the table. In front of him lies a newspaper: "Kooph en Zeev tijdingen of 26 November 1829". To the right of the table sits a woman holding a water kettle in her right hand. She wears a lavish cap with lace and ribbons. To the left, a desk against which two large folios lean. The drawing appears to be part of a series consisting of numbers KOG-ZG-4-14 through KOG-ZG-4-18.
