About this work
Sailing ship at sea sailing to the right, with a clearly visible richly decorated stern, two large masts, and a small mast aft (with furled sails), flying a total of six flags or pennants. The name on the stern of the ship: 'EENDRACHT'. The Eendracht was the admiral's ship of Admiral Jacob baron van Wassenaer, Lord of Obdam, during the Battle of the Sound on 8 November 1658.
