The fleeing English King James II is recognized, mistreated, and arrested by sailors in Faversham, 20 December 1688. Plate L in the series 'The English Theatre' on the Glorious Revolution and events of the preceding years 1685-1689 (first part). With inscriptions in Dutch and French.
