About this work
Top part of the table centerpiece depicting a woman with, among other things, a shield and laurel wreath (Sri-Billiton) and attributes derived from work in the tin mines. Around the base four medallions with depictions of labor in the tin mines (after photographs). On the base a medallion with text and one with the engraved portrait of Ermeling. At the top behind the woman two palm trees; on both sides of the base a candle arm. The centerpiece was presented by officials and miners of the Billiton Company to their chief J.Ph. Ermeling on the occasion of his 70th birthday at a celebration on Billiton.
