About this work
Porcelain pot from the VOC ship 'Witte Leeuw', 100% present. The material is beige oxidized and the glaze is also beige. The underglaze color is light blackish. The base is partially glazed and the footring is trapezoidal. No kiln sand was found. The pot has a trumpet neck and an unscalloped rim. The painting is very precise, but the blue has turned grey. The interior is decorated with three flying birds with clouds and a scale pattern between them.
