About this work
Bowl with lid from VOC ship 'De Witte Leeuw', 100% present. The bowl has a high wall that stands almost straight up. The rim is round, thin and faceted. The lid has a flaring wall and a flared rim. The rim is unglazed and the lid knob is irregularly shaped. The footring is V-shaped and faceted. The body has some contamination. The glaze is thin, has cracks and has no luster. The outside of the bowl as well as the lid is decorated with a landscape with hills, water and pagodas.
