Dr. Herman Schaepman during the defense of his proposal. Standing behind a table with the left hand in the trouser pocket, a sheet of paper in the right hand, knee-length portrait, slightly turned to the right. Part of a group of sketches of the discussion in the Second Chamber on the constitutional revision of 1887, published in the weekly magazine Eigen Haard (1887).
