About this work

Gold-lacquered tobacco pouch with remains of red and sea-green painting. Flap with a pressure closure (kanamono) of bronze depicting a dragon in water. At the top, a copper ornament (depicting waves) for attaching the brown braided carrying cord, with a light blue glass bead as ojime at the beginning and a netsuke of deer horn depicting a tree branch with leaves and fruit at the end.
