About this work

The oval pommel or sword-knob is made of copper and shows an iconographic representation on two sides. Front: three figures, all facing left. The central figure appears to be sitting and makes a motion as if shooting an arrow and bow. Back: a figure in the center, seated, with hand under the head for support. On the sides of the knob are two masks. The knob is broken above the hilt; the top is also damaged. Hilt.
