About this work

Front view in color of a stable, a bamboo framework in which three elephants are tied. Ceylonese are working with ropes near the stable. The middle elephant is being doused with water. With inscription. No. 11 in the series. Part of Jan Brandes' sketchbook, vol. 2 (1808), p. 130.
