Black-and-white brush drawing of a lying elephant with a cloth over its head. The elephant is depicted twice. Above, it lies with its legs toward the artist and a Ceylonese in a loincloth is hacking at its neck. Below, the elephant lies with its back to the artist. Its trunk extends to the next page.
