Colored drawing of a palanquin and bearers with a lying European inside, in a landscape with termite mounds. With inscription. This drawing precedes the elephant series. The artist traveled in a procession with palanquins to Jale. Part of Jan Brandes' sketchbook, vol. 2 (1808), p. 136.
