About this work

Tin spoon with oval bowl and handle with bracket-shaped end and rattail. The bowl is slightly dented. The spoon has a long needle with a leaf. With owner's initials GB (presumably Gelein Bevers). Maker's mark on the reverse of the handle oval, containing a female figure with a laurel branch below and a crown above: LOCKTIN; ....BRUGGE (=Paulus Verbrugge, 1639-after 1693, tinsmith in Amsterdam).
